Rami Rafia – Anaesthetist – (MD MSc MRCA) (4292359)
Dr Rami Rafia graduated from the faculty of medicine at Aleppo University, Syriaand gained his medical degree in 1988. He started his training in anaesthesia, resuscitation, intensive care and pain management at Aleppo University Hospital in 1989, where her graduated and gained his MSc degree in anaesthesia and resuscitation.
He moved to the United Kingdom in 1993 to continue his training in anaesthesia, resuscitation, intensive care and pain management and became a member of the Royal College of Anaesthetists in January 2002.
Rami has worked as an anaesthetist in the UK since 1993 and gained his experience through working in various hospitals in England and Scotland.
His current positions include:
- Associate specialist in Anaesthesia at the Southern General Hospital,Glasgow, Scotland since 2007.
- Dental Anaesthesia for children and patients with learning difficulties at Monklands Hospital, Airdrie, Scotland since 1997.
- Conscious sedation at Cadden Dental Clinic in Glasgow to help patients with the anxiety to cope with the dental treatment.
